The Core China Research Center is an academic and policy platform dedicated to advancing the study of China's economy, governance, and development. Initially inspired by the "Core China Research Project" at the University of Navarra, the Center is now fully led by Ocvistas, a leading Sino-Spanish cultural exchange think tank based in Barcelona.

As China's global relevance continues to grow, understanding the country solely through conventional Western perspectives is no longer sufficient. Our Center aims to bring together scholars and experts from both China and Europe to foster mutual understanding, cutting-edge research, and policy-oriented dialogue.

With strong support from Ocvistas' extensive experience in cultural, educational, and policy exchanges, the Center builds on multi-sector resources from academia, government, industry, and media. It serves as a dynamic bridge that connects China and Europe, integrating theory with practice.

We focus on key topics such as China's economic transformation, governance model, and business innovation. We emphasize the promotion of knowledge on China from both local and global perspectives — academically, educationally, and publicly.

As a flagship project of Ocvistas, the Center produces original research, consulting reports, and strategic insights, and regularly hosts forums, lectures, and collaborative initiatives to facilitate greater understanding and cooperation between China and Europe.
